I'm Barbara B, a Creative
Director, Art Director, Artist and Entrepreneur and this site is about all these activities. The Creative/Art Director
part is active in the Ad Business. The Artist part is involved in making sculpture, the Home and Fashion Businesses
with Artizen and BlingaTeeBling. And, the Entrepreneur part is involved in all.
I've been in the ad biz for over 20 years as a Creative Director and Art Director,
developing successful campaigns and winning awards. I've worked in all media from print through to web.
I love doing something new and growing .
One of the best aspects of my job is venturing into new territory and helping someone in an industry new to me solve a communication
problem.
Briefly, my history
involves over 10 years owning and being the Creative Director/President of an Ad Agency in New York City. My clients were
from the Finance/Banking industry, Cosmetics, Fragrance, Publishing, and Fashion, to name a few. That business grew over
the years to employ 20 and bill millions and when it was time to move on, I sold. I'm happy to report that it's
still going strong.
I taught Ad Concept and Copy for several years at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
It was a wonderful experience and a challenge to stand and deliver 3 hours at a time. It's like being a stand up
comic. It tests your skills at selling an idea, not to mention, thinking on your feet and, hopefully, getting a laugh
or two.
Currently,
I'm concentrating on Artizen my home textile business, BlingaTeeBling, my art tee shirt business, Creative and Art Directing
for ad clients and sculpting a bit.
The
portfolio section is set up with selections of my ad work, in a random order, images and stories I like. You'll find a
mixture of Ad Campaigns, Corporate ID/Branding, Catalogs, Brochures. You'll see fashion, cosmetics, kids, banking –
examples from the various industries I've worked in. I love to and am available to create advertising, so, if you
